Terms of use

Chati is run by ILYTAT LLC. By using it you agree to these terms. Last updated October 23, 2026.

Adults only

You must be 18 or older to have a Chati account. We close accounts we believe belong to someone under 18. We may ask you to verify your age or identity.

What's not allowed

• Anything that sexualizes or endangers a child. We report it to NCMEC and the police.
• Threats, harassment, hate, or encouraging someone to hurt themselves.
• Sharing someone's private information or intimate images without their consent.
• Illegal activity, scams, spam, or trying to break, overload or get around Chati's safety systems.
• Pretending to be someone else, or using someone else's account.

Safety

Messages are checked automatically, and anyone can report something. We may hide or remove content, close rooms, and suspend accounts. For serious cases we keep records and share them with authorities, as described in Privacy & safety.

The Chati plan

Hosting rooms is free. The optional Chati plan adds extras for hosts (your own AIs, a second AI in a room, and hosting more rooms at once). It renews monthly through Stripe until you cancel, which you can do any time from Settings; it then runs to the end of the month you paid for. AI use is still billed by OpenRouter to the host's own account.

The AI

Each room's AI can be wrong. Don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. In the US, call or text 988 if you're in crisis.

Hosts and costs

A room's host pays for its AI through their own OpenRouter account and can set a spending cap. Hosts are responsible for the rooms they make and who they invite.

Your content

You own what you write. You let us store and show it to the people in the room, and use it to run and keep Chati safe.

Changes and ending

We may change Chati or these terms; we'll update the date above. You can stop using Chati at any time, and we may end access for anyone who breaks these terms.

Chati is provided as is, to the extent the law allows.
