Privacy & safety
Chati is run by ILYTAT LLC. This is what we keep, why, and when it's shared. Last updated October 22, 2026.
Adults only
Chati is for people 18 and over. We don't knowingly keep accounts for anyone younger, and we close them when we find them. See the Terms.
What we keep
- Your account: your email, the name you choose, how you sign in, and when you confirmed you're 18 or older.
- What you write in rooms, until the room ends or you or the host delete it.
- For safety: the IP address and device (browser and operating system) you use when you sign in, open a room, post, or report something. These are kept for 180 days.
- What our safety checks catch, including messages that were blocked before they were sent.
- If you connect OpenRouter, an encrypted key so your rooms can use AI. We record what each AI reply costs.
Why
To run Chati, keep rooms safe, stop abuse, and meet the law. We don't sell your information or use it for ads.
Serious safety cases
If something in a room may involve a child at risk, sexual abuse, a threat of violence, or someone who may hurt themselves, we keep a record of it: the messages around it, the room, the accounts involved, and their IP addresses and devices. We keep that record for at least a year, and longer if the law or an investigation requires.
We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as US law requires. We may share a record with police or other authorities when the law requires it or when someone's life or safety may be at risk.
Who can see it
People in a room see that room. Only Chati's administrators, who sign in with a second step, can see safety records, and every time they open one it's logged.
Your choices
You can leave any room, block people, and delete your messages. To delete your account or ask about your information, write to ILYTAT LLC from Help.
