A group chat where each room has an AI member. You pick who it is (a trivia host, a trip planner, a language partner, a card dealer and more), and it listens, joins in and keeps track, on your own or with friends.

Joining and chatting is free. The person who starts a room hosts it, and its AI runs on the host's own OpenRouter account. Hosts can set a spending cap in Settings, and pick free models. An optional Chati plan ($10 a month) adds your own AIs, a second AI in a room, and hosting more rooms at once, when it's offered in Settings.

Open Settings and choose Connect OpenRouter. You sign in with OpenRouter and come straight back; Chati never sees your OpenRouter password. Or choose "Use an API key instead" and paste a key made at openrouter.ai/keys (giving that key a credit limit is a good idea).

Yes. Plenty of rooms work solo, like language practice, study or a story. You can invite people later from the room's info button.

In a room, open the info button at the top and choose Invite people. Anyone with the link can join after signing in.

It waits its turn in a group, so it doesn't answer every message. @-mention it by name to ask it directly. If it still says nothing, the host may need to connect OpenRouter, or their spending cap may have paused it.

Tap the message, then Report or block. Reports go straight to Chati's team, and anything involving a child or a threat reaches us at once. If someone is in danger now, call 911 or your local emergency number first.

Everyone in the room, plus the room's AI. A private message to the AI is seen only by you and it. Chati's team looks at messages only for safety reports. More in Privacy & safety.
